Overview
Ziwa is Kiswahili for lake, and this short programme is built entirely around two of them. Lake Nakuru is fenced, compact and unusually rich: both black and white rhino live here, along with Rothschild's giraffe, lion and leopard.
Lake Naivasha is freshwater, unfenced and softer — hippo, pelicans and fish eagles, best seen from a boat. Two days is enough to do both properly without ever spending more than three hours in the vehicle at a stretch.

Day 1
Nairobi to Lake Nakuru
We leave after breakfast and climb out of Nairobi onto the escarpment, dropping into the Rift Valley for lunch at your lodge. The afternoon is a full game drive — the rhino sanctuary, the yellow-barked acacia forest at the lake edge, and Baboon Cliff for the view as the light goes. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 2
Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha, then Nairobi
An early game drive while the park is cool, then breakfast and the short drive south to Lake Naivasha. After lunch, an hour on the water: hippo pods, pelicans, and fish eagles brought down to fish beside the boat. We return to Nairobi in the late afternoon, arriving at your hotel or the airport in the evening.
