Overview
Kazuri means "small and beautiful" in Kiswahili, and that is the shape of this morning. Four hours, three stops, and no long drives — the ideal opener for a first day in Kenya, or a way to fill the gap before an evening flight.
We collect you from your hotel, work through Nairobi's southern suburbs, and put you in front of the animals and the history that made this city famous. You are back in the city by early afternoon.

Hotel pick-up
Your guide meets you in the lobby. We head south out of the city centre, past Nairobi National Park's eastern fence, with time on the road to talk through the rest of your trip.

Sheldrick Wildlife Trust
The orphan elephant nursery opens to visitors for one hour a day. Keepers bring the youngest calves out for their milk feed and mud bath, and explain where each one was found.

Giraffe Centre
A raised timber platform brings you level with the heads of a breeding herd of Rothschild's giraffes. Feeding them pellets by hand takes nerve the first time and none at all by the third.

Karen Blixen Museum
The farmhouse the Danish author lived in from 1917 to 1931, kept much as she left it. The Ngong Hills sit on the skyline behind the coffee terraces. We return you to your hotel afterwards.
